HIKARI SUSHI AND OMAKASE, DAVIS, CA
When long-time Davis residents and sushi chefs, Sithu and Zin Tun moved from their excellent counter service at the Davis Food Coop to open their own high end and exquisitely crafted sushi restaurant, Hikari Sushi and Omakase, Sithu asked me to design some functional ceramic pieces that would complement their culinary creations. Sithu and Zin put so much heart and soul into their work. I loved being challenged to do something a outside my norm and it was a joy to contribute to the unique energy of Hikari Sushi. If you like what you see, please contact me. I would be so happy to do more work in this vein.
